Bank Street Arts Atrium Gallery – Open call for submissions
Through the window
GLANCING.NOTICING.PEEPING.LOOKING.SPYING.STARING
Criteria: Contemporary artwork depicting the interesting and engaging scenes one has or could witness whilst peering through a window; the animals & people, the landscapes, the funny goings on…
All 2-d artwork to come framed (no bigger than A2), all 3-d artwork to be no bigger than 30x50mm. One item per entry.
Please ensure that your piece can be hung my tension wires in the space
Entry Fees: Entry is free to Bank Street Arts Members holding Green membership. Non members can become a green member for a £25 donation, and receive a whole host of benefits; including free entry to all open call exhibitions and free entry to Bank Street Arts fairs as an exhibitor, the opportunity to exhibit at members only show and 10% discount on gallery, room and equipment hire. Artists are responsible for the costs of all delivery and collection. Preference will be given to members, but this is not a member’s only exhibition. Becoming a Member entitles you to free entry to all subsequent open submissions, a members only show and a host of other benefits. You can join at any time and then submit your work.

Entry guidelines: All entries must be submitted by email. Please send:
- A maximum of 4 images of your work (these must be JPEG files). Please save each image as your name and title of work.
- Your completed submission form
- Short artist statement (200 words max)
Email all entries to: daniabailey@bankstreetarts.com with the subject as THROUGH THE WINDOW. Please indicate in the email whether you have posted a cheque or you would like to pay by bank transfer. If you are paying by bank transfer we will send you an e-invoice containing details of how to pay.
DEADLINE: MONDAY 12TH NOVEMBER 2012
Successful entrants will be contacted by Friday the 16th, and your work will need to reach us by Friday the 23rd of November
Please note that we cannot take responsibility for the artwork once the exhibition is complete, please ensure that you either collect it in person on either the 23rd or 24th of February or arrange for us to post it back to you, this includes paying for return postage (please email these details to daniabailey@bankstreetarts.com when you have been informed that your submissions has been successful) If you are a Bank Street Arts member, although it is FREE to enter this does not include postage costs.
Please also note that the Atrium gallery is a public access space and work may need to be taken down for a short time. In this eventuality you will not be contacted directly, so please check the website regularly for this information.
The exhibition will run from Tuesday 26th November 2012 until Saturday 23rd February 2013
