‘I’m a photography-based artist living and working in Sheffield. The mainstay of my work is constructing temporary scenarios in my workshop, where I can photograph the mixture of performance and sculpture within a given space. Quite often it’s the detail of a sculpture that excites me rather than the whole thing.

Throughout my work is a strong element of making that references back to my previous career as a fin furniture maker. One of the biggest advantages that furniture making has equipped me with is the freedom and skill to design and construct my ideas. I’m used to looking for shapes and inventing spaces to resolve design issues.’
