Francesca Busca, Brexit.

‘I have been living in London as a EU citizen for 17 years. I come from Italy, yet I feel more British than most. I speak with little if no accent, thanks to my British friends. I took the citizenship test a few years ago, ready to apply for a UK passport. But then…I did not think I would ever need it. A decade later, Brexit happens. I felt like I lost my home overnight.’

‘I am fascinated by both artificial and natural elements, which I restlessly play with in new combinations, contrasting noble material with rubbish. My aim is to prove their reciprocal need, how rubbish is a relative definition.’
