Annette Griffiths | Painter
Annette’s paintings feature landscapes and seascapes – Derbyshire, Norfolk, Provence, and Normandy – capturing the magical quality of light, gentle interiors, and still life.
“I want to capture and celebrate a given place, at a given moment in time, for my and your enjoyment.”
Annette has run oil painting landscape and other courses in the Dordogne and the French Alps. In the UK she ran courses on the Norfolk coast, a favourite haunt of artists. Her work is exhibited in Derbyshire, Kent and London, including works in the Royal Academy Summer Exhibitions.
She works in a variety of media for life drawing and still life, though her favourite activity after nearly forty years teaching art remains painting landscape in all its forms.
Annette was Head of Art in UK secondary schools for 35 years, then a course tutor and director in France, Switzerland, and UK. She now sells her paintings from her studio at BSA.
Annette uses the following materials: acrylics, coloured pencils, oils, pastels, pen & wash, pencil, charcole, and watercolours.
