Becky Bowley

Becky Bowley’s residency involved using the cellar spaces at Bank Street to create an evolving series of installations which formed the backdrop for her performance pieces at the end of her residency.

“Within the working title of Rise and Fall, based in the secrecy of the psyche and cellar at Bank Street Arts, inspired by the tensions between form, emptiness, movement, and stillness, led by the body’s interplay with found materials such as earth, fruit, water, wine and site, I will develop a series of intimate interludes from remembered and personal encounters, leaving traces and interventions within the space accumulating during the residency as an archeological site”

As the culmination of her residency Becky extended the tableau into the front galleries at Bank Street and designed intimate one to one turs through  the relics of her time spent on site.
