Design students from Sheffield Hallam University are working on a new exhibition showcasing their innovative work in collaboration with a range of industry experts.

Over 30 students from Sheffield Hallam’s Interior Design degree programme have spent three months working with professionals from social media and technology, charitable organisations, the heritage and cultural industries and literature. The students are creating 12 three-dimensional installations, all of which find innovative solutions to a range of issues outlined by the professionals.

Course Leader Sally Billau said: “Working alongside industry professionals like this, we’ve challenged our students to apply their design knowledge in a creative yet practical way, and using a range of design and fabrication techniques.”

The resulting exhibition is running at Bank Street Arts from Wednesday 21st January to Saturday 31 January. The free exhibition, called ‘Prism’ will be organised, curated and installed completely by students.
