An exhibition of acrylic and digital paintings on sale by Sheffield-based artist Elizabeth Crossley, largely inspired by sheep.
Dating from her move from urban London to rural Sheffield as a child, Elizabeth Crossley’s paintings represent the sense of childlike wonder inspired by the vast beauty of the Derbyshire moors after a lifetime of enclosed parks.
Elizabeth’s earlier work is mainly acrylic, featuring picturesque rural scenes painted in natural tones. Later works are vibrant and vividly coloured pastoral landscapes. Through the transition from acrylic paint to digital, Elizabeth plays with colour, texture, and light to create fun and surreal artworks.
