Enjoy your homes press presents an evening of experimental sound and improvisational performances. Three separate performances will explore sound and perception in very different ways. Each performance will be small scale, exploratory, with no set outcome.
Honor Gavin is a writer, musician and scholar. Her book Midland / A Novel Out of Time was published by Penned in the Margins in 2014 and was shortlisted for the 2015 Gordon Burn Prize. Honor will give a spontaneous performance of abstract verbal art centred around the comeback of hypothetical boy band Never Was.
Odie Ji Ghast & THF Drenching combine the lyrical collage and ear-grabbing voice of Greta Buitkukė (Odie Jo Ghast) with Stuart Calton’s (THF Drenching) dictaphone and other miscellaneous items to create exploratory electronic music.
Soft Architecture aka Linda Kemp & Dafydd Spink combine analogue and digital electronic signals from small mixers to make sound, responding to one another through ethereal improvisation and ‘developing constructions of sound, which they then knock down.’
