Comedy in the Courtyard: Amy Gledhill & guests

Comedy in the Courtyard III | Friday 2nd December 7pm | £5/ £4 for Bank Street Arts Members

Comedy in the Courtyard returns to Bank Street Arts on Fri 2nd December for a pre-Xmas jolly-up featuring five of the circuit’s sharpest performers. Helmed once again by ringmaster Marcus B Newman, this latest instalment of Comedy in the Courtyard will be headlined by Amy Gledhill, who ‘deftly balances the intelligent with the daft’ (The Skinny) and has been described by Richard Herring as ‘silly, vivacious and very funny’. Amy’s bulging trophy cabinet includes awards for Yorkshire Comedian of the Year 2013 and Jokenation’s International Comedian 2015.

Comedy in the Courtyard III will also include performances from:

Ethan Davies: as his Twitter profile helpfully notes, Ethan does exist and is a comedian. He’s also a very funny comedian with no compunction whatsoever about dragging his audience into the heart of darkness.

Camilla Prince: weaving intimate and humorous tales about her life, her love and everything in between, Camilla has been making a been making a real name for herself on Sheffield’s comedy scene over the last few years. She can also make a handy aubergine parmigiana.

Joe Thompson: improv man, doyen of ‘interesting’ poetry and ex-Creative Director of the SHRIMPS, Joe now runs a regular night at Yellow Arch Studios with his Chucklenuts troupe.

Dog + Bird: no topics are off limits for this songstress and guitarist: satirical swipes at meninists, online dating and their own shambolic lives are the order of the day.

Doors 7pm. Entry is a fiver, 4 quid for Bank Street Arts members.

December also sees more comedy at Bank Street Arts with Comedian in Residence Sean Morley’s Earned Helplessness show.
