This exhibition brings together a collection of images documenting the rise of Roller Derby in the UK over the past four years. From its humble beginnings to the global phenomenon it has become. A one day photo-shoot turned in to a four year obsession culminating in the first ever Roller Derby World Cup held in Toronto, Canada in 2011.

About the Artist – Jason Ruffell
“I have always been interested it the odd, strange and obscure. So when a friend, over a cup of coffee mentioned a new hobby that she had just taken up called Roller Derby I was intrigued.
I trained as a silversmith and worked as a graphic designer. Photography has always been more of a hobby, a hobby that has gradually taken over more and more of my life.”
