The first exhibition in our newly-opened café is Wilda Goyetche’s The Painted World of Wildago.
This exhibition features a vibrant mix of personalities from the painted world of Wildago which promise to capture your imagination and draw you into an enchanting story filled with colourful characters. This story is driven by a growing band of collectors, who contribute to the plot through commissioned scenarios of their own choosing. Pearl and Edmund – two lead characters who haven’t met yet – are sure to raise a few eyebrows and smiles. Once introduced (via the walls of our new Café Space) you can continue to follow their developments at home thanks to their online presence at Facebook and Todd-the-Dog’s Blog.
What began as a hobby for self-taught artist Wilda Goyetche in 2008 has grown into a full-time occupation. She has always been in love with paintings but never imagined she could become an artist herself. This notion changed when Wildago transformed from dozens of sketchbook doodles into colourful, quirky paintings and limited edition prints.
