Our April Opening Hours

We’ll be spending most of April getting on with routine gallery maintenance and our opening hours this month will be limited. If you’re interested in viewing our 5 current exhibitions, Taken to Pieces: Peculiar Wood, IOTA, Atrium Occupation, Mania, and The Nymph and the Shepherd, we’ll be open from Wednesday 5th- Saturday 8th April only and for Oliver Manning and James Ewan Tait’s co-headline gig on Friday 21st April from 6pm.

Oliver Manning and James Ewan Tait co-headline gig

Songwriter, musician and Bank Street Arts resident Oliver Manning is currently recording his forthcoming album in the various spaces around our building. While he’s played a few impromptu gigs with us, his first ‘official’ BSA performance will be taking place on the evening of Friday 21st April. The show is a co-headliner with fellow songwriter James Ewan Tait.

One evening, six exhibitions

Allan Pacey & Kate Sully | Reproduction

Allan Pacey, Professor of Andrology at The University of Sheffield, and artist Kate Sully first exhibited at Bank Street Arts with their mesmerising Journey of Reproductive Life project, part of 2016’s Festival of the Mind. Since the festival, Allan and Kate have continued their collaboration, producing work that provides a unique conduit between the reproductive sciences and art.

Jessica Harby

Artist Jessica Harby spent all of last year filling herself with as much information as she could about the machinations of the United States and the United Kingdom. She’s currently undertaking a residency at Bank Street Arts that is exploring how the decisions of 2016 become the consequences of 2017. The plan is to, as Jessica notes, ‘Slow things down. Feel every terrifying moment in real time’.
